I love political cartoons. Their ability to combine searing political commentary with humour results in a visceral reaction that happens instantaneously; you either get it right away or you don't. If you have to explain a joke; it ain't funny.
Mike Luckovich
is a giant in the editorial cartoon realm. He currently works for the Atlantic Journal-Constitution and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1995 and 2006.
One cartoon compresses pages of editorial into one image; that it's done with such wit is brilliant.
