Via Liveleak and Toweleroad, this very disturbing video should give us in the west a bit of a reality check when it comes to the state of human rights for gays in the world.This happens publicly on the streets of our so-called partners in the war against terrorism; Pakistan, Saudi Arabia etc.. This level of violence and worse also happens however, not so publicly in our own country as well as other NATO and Commonwealth partners, uh Uganda, anyone?
We are blessed in Canada to have legal protection under the Charter of Rights, but we shouldn't remain complacent as long as this barbarism goes on around us.
